Our saveloy sausages are carefully prepared using a time-honored recipe, ensuring a consistent flavour and texture with every bite. Whether you serve it cold or steamed, boiled, or sliced cold in sandwiches, the saveloy offers a versatile and nostalgic addition to any menu.

Traditionally enjoyed as part of a fish and chips meal, the saveloy is made from finely ground pork, delicately seasoned with a blend of spices such as white pepper, nutmeg, and ginger, then encased in a bright, smooth skin that gives it its iconic look. The sausage is pre-cooked, giving it a firm yet juicy texture and a rich,  flavour that’s both comforting and satisfying.

Storage: Keep frozen at -18°C or below

cooking instructions To begin, place the saucepan of water on the stove and bring it to a boil.
Once boiling, switch the hotplate off and put the saveloys in water. Replace the lid on top and leave it to steam for 10 minutes. To tell if the sausage is cooked, it needs to be 160°F. Check with a thermometer, then drain, serve, and enjoy.
